Amile Jefferson Hopes To Choose School Next Week

Amile Jefferson hopes to make his final decision by next week.

“It’s been tough,” Jefferson said. “We’re trying to set a date now. Hopefully by next week, I can finally make a decision…I need that comfort level, when I just know.”

Jefferson is considering Kentucky, Duke, Ohio State, North Carolina State and Villanova.

The twins have family in the Baltimore area and also are considering Kentucky, Maryland, and Baylor.

Tony Chennault is close to transferring to Villanova, according to sources close to the situation.

Chennault recently opted to leave Wake Forest to be closer to home because his mother has been experiencing health problems.

The 6-foot-2 guard will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Andrew and Aaron Harrison, top-5 prospects class of 2013, are considering Kentucky, Villanova, Maryland and Baylor.

“Our lists are still open,” Andrew said. “We have a top four, but that doesn’t mean another school can’t come up.”

Both will attend the same college.

“We’re definitely a package deal,” said Aaron. “One-hundred percent.”

Allerik Freeman has expanded his list of potential college destinations to include Duke, UCLA, and Ohio State.

“Like most kids he had a change of heart and added UCLA and Ohio State,” Freeman’s high school coach, Ty Baumgardner said.

“Just in the last couple of weeks, Duke has shown some interest. Coach [Chris] Collins and Al have had some communication through email. Word is Coach K is going to watch him this weekend.”

Freeman, a 6-foot-3, 195-pound guard out of Charlotte, NC., is also considering Villanova and Kansas.

Andrew and Aaron Harrison have narrowed their list to four schools -- Kentucky, Villanova, Maryland and Baylor – their father, Aaron Harrison Sr., confirmed.

The elder Harrison said Andrew and Aaron will make a decision in the late summer.

“When school stars again and summer is over, they’re going to make a decision,” Aaron Harrison Sr. said. “I want them to sit back and enjoy their senior year of high school. They’ll look and make the best decision then."

Aaron and Andrew are regarded as top-10 prospects in the class of 2013.
